Nigel Hayes’ 10-day contract expired at midnight Sunday and the Toronto Raptors will not be offering him another deal, according to Blake Murphy of Raptors Republic.
Hayes is a 6-foot-8 forward and went undrafted out of Wisconsin last summer and spent most of his rookie year in the G League. He could potentially return to the Westchester Knicks in time for the G League playoffs.
Per Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors:
As for the Raptors, they’ll open up a spot on their 15-man roster, since they only have 14 players on guaranteed contracts. There’s no rush for Toronto to fill that open slot, but I’d expect the team to do so before the postseason gets underway.
Hayes also spent time on a 10-day deal with the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this season.
