Free-agent guard Xavier Munford is considering taking his talents to the Chinese Basketball Association, a league source told Amico Hoops.
Munford is 6-foot-4 and spent last season on a two-way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks. It is believed the Bucks gave him a qualifying offer, making Munford a restricted free agent. If so, the Bucks would have the right to match an offer from another NBA team.
Munford, 26, signed with the Bucks in January, appearing in six games and averaging less than a point. His only other NBA experience came with the Memphis Grizzlies in 2015-16, when he appeared in 14 games and averaged 5.7 points and 2.5 assists.
He has also played 122 games in the G-League and was a member of the U.S. men’s basketball team that won a gold medal at the 2017 FIBA AmeriCup.
