Denver Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic sprained his left ankle during the second quarter of Thursday’s home game against the Chicago Bulls.
Jokic suffered the injury on a shot attempt in heavy traffic. He made his two free throws but left the game and did not return.
According to a report by ESPN, Jokic underwent an MRI Friday and the results came back negative. The Nuggets’ center, however, is expected to miss several games.

Jokic, 22, is averaging 15.5 points, 10.6 rebounds and 4.6 assists while shooting 51.1 percent from the floor and 40.6 percent from three on the season.
The Nuggets enter tonight with a record of 12-9.
