The New Orleans Pelicans have signed undrafted forward Zylan Cheatham and veteran point guard Josh Gray to two-way contracts, the team announced in a news release.
Cheatham averaged 12.1 points and 10.3 rebounds at Arizona State last season — his first with the Sun Devils after two years at San Diego State. He appeared in six summer league games with the Pelicans, averaging 5.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocks.
Gray, 26, went undrafted out of LSU in 2016 and spent some time with the Phoenix Suns on a pair of 10-day contracts during the 2017-18 season. He has also played in the G League and spent last season in China.
Teams are permitted to sign two players to two-way contracts each season. Cheatham and Gray are likely to spend most of their time with the Erie BayHawks, the Pelicans’ affiliate in the G League.
