Point guard Simmons agrees to one-year deal with Hornets

Former Grizzlies and G-League guard Kobi Simmons has signed a one-year contract with the Hornets.

Free agent guard Kobi Simmons has agreed to a one-year contract with the Charlotte Hornets, according to Shams Charania of Stadium.

Simmons is 6-foot-4 and went undrafted out of Arizona in 2017. Per Charania, Simmons will compete for a job at point guard in training camp.

He appeared in one game with the Cleveland Cavaliers last season and 32 with the Memphis Grizzlies the season before that as a rookie.]

Terry Rozier and Devonte’ Graham are the lone Hornets point guards officially under contract at the moment.
