Dallas Mavericks big man Nerlens Noel has been out of action since Nov. 26 after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb.
While there has been speculation through league circles that Noel could be a buyout candidate, the New York Times is reporting the Mavs currently have no plans to part ways with the 23-year-old center.
The Mavericks have no current plans to buy out big man Nerlens Noel, according to league sources. To the contrary, Dallas is hopeful it can get Noel back on the floor after the All-Star break and make another run at establishing a role for him.

Noel has only appeared in 18 games this season, posting averages of 4.0 points and 4.1 rebounds on 52.8 percent shooting from the field.
