The Toronto Raptors have shown interest in free agent big man Greg Monroe, according to a report from Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca.
The Raptors have 13 players on guaranteed or partially-guaranteed deals and are looking to fill the 14th spot with another big man, per the report.
Monroe began this past season with the Milwaukee Bucks. He was traded to the Phoenix Suns in November in the Eric Bledsoe deal.
After spending roughly three months with the Suns, Phoenix released the veteran forward and he signed with the Boston Celtics for the rest of the season.
In 51 games in 2017-18, Monroe averaged 10.3 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists, shooting 56.5 percent from the field.
The Raptors can use the mid-level exception of $5.3 million to sign Monroe, who has career averages of 13.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 589 games with the Detroit Pistons, Bucks, Suns and Celtics.
