Camp Location: University of Wisconsin, Madison (Sept. 27-30)
Coach: Jason Kidd, three seasons (two with Bucks); 118-128 overall.
Last Season: 33-49, did not make playoffs.
Key Returnees: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jabari Parker, Michael Carter-Williams, Tyler Ennis, John Henson, Khris Middleton, Greg Monroe, Miles Plumlee, Rashad Vaughn, Steve Novak.
Key Additions: Matthew Dellavedova (Cleveland), Thon Maker (rookie), Mirza Teletovic (Phoenix), Jason Terry (Houston), Malcolm Brogdon (rookie, Virginia).
Notable Losses: Jerryd Bayless (Philadelphia), OJ Mayo (suspended), Greivis Vasquez (Brooklyn), Johnny O’Bryant (Washington).
Outlook: Last year I took all sorts of grief for writing the Bucks would not make the playoffs. Well, guess what they didn’t do? But whether or not the Bucks experience the postseason actually has zilch to do with some wretched sportswriter’s prediction. (I know. Hard to believe.) It has considerably more to do with their key members — Gianni Antetokounmpo, Jabari Parker, and yes, Matthew Dellavedova — and if they can mesh and stay healthy. The Bucks are still longing to move Greg Monroe, and if they can do it for a better fit, they just may be going places. If not, they should still be tons of fun and jostle for a top-eight Eastern seed.
