5 soldiers killed after a confrontation in Tamaulipas
Tamaulipas– After a long confrontation this morning, soldiers and members of the State Guard killed five armed men from a criminal group at the Cristo Vive farm in Rio Bravo.
The shooting started around 12:30 this Saturday morning, and bursts of gunfire were heard as far as the area of Colonia El Campanario de Reynosa, which borders the municipality of Reynosa, about two kilometers from the scene.
The confrontation alerted motorists and industrial truck drivers, who at the time were leaving Reynosa maquiladoras for Rio Bravo to drop off workers, who sounded alerts on social networks about the state of danger.
As of noon today, the authorities of the Public Security Secretariat of Tamaulipas have reported the balance of the confrontation, which is the injury of one soldier and five armed men.
Elements of the Special Forces of the State Guard (FEGE) also participated in the shooting.
Explosions began to be heard from several adjacent gaps between Reynosa and Rio Bravo, until the final confrontation occurred at Cristo Vive Ranch, through gap 109 of Rio Bravo.
Company leaders asked the ambulance to assist our Sedna, who was shot in one of the ribs and is recovering at Reynosa Hospital.
They also requested the presence of two general investigators to establish the killing and confiscate four high-powered weapons, a fire truck, multiple chargers and cartridges.
