Schools must ensure a distance of 1.5 meters between students

The Ministry of Education (MINIRD) has issued the general protocol for the start of the 2021-2022 school year, which sets out preventive, operational and follow-up measures to protect the educational community from infection with the Covid-19 virus.

These measures include the physical plant, provision of equipment, supplies and consumables, as well as guidelines and basic information for center staff, students, and their families.

To achieve the distance in classrooms and other places, educational centers should have a distance of 1.5 meters per student; As well as ensuring natural ventilation and working in open spaces.

“In the case of air-conditioned environments, it is very important to open the windows several times a day, and also to verify that these ventilation systems are working properly and providing adequate indoor air quality,” the document reads.

Likewise, bathrooms should have means for drying hands, water and liquid soap, and trash cans whose lids do not need to be manipulated manually.

On the other hand, at snack time and school lunch, priority should be given to the delivery of prepackaged foods.

As for workers in the centers, it has been established that they should have gel, alcohol and mouth coverings.

Likewise, Minerd notes that schools will have to perform a thorough cleaning and disinfection of all areas of the center before and after each use.

Back to Joy

It is intended for children and adolescents to work with their adaptation in the classroom and to support their psychological and emotional well-being.

According to the institution, this program will be developed intensively during the first two weeks of the academic year, and will continue later at a lower intensity.
