Desperate Everton fans set off fireworks outside the Chelsea hotel during the night to try to keep Thomas Tuchel’s men from sleeping ahead of a massive clash at Goodison Park in a struggle against relegation in the Premier League.

Everton fans desperately tried to help their side avoid relegation by setting off fireworks outside the Chelsea team hotel to disrupt their sleep ahead of the crucial day’s clash.

Thomas Tuchel’s side are in Liverpool to face Touffe at Goodison Park in the Premier League.

But any hope of an early night for the Blues players was dented as fans set off a set of fireworks outside the Hilton in an attempt to keep visitors from sleeping too much before the big game.

Video footage shows loud whistling of fireworks, explosions and screams seen just outside the hotel, and reportedly lasted over an hour and a half until around 3am.

Fans are also planning a support rally on Goodison Road to hoist the players as they arrive to face Chelsea.

Everton can get some encouragement from their home form, as they have picked up seven out of nine points in their last three home games under Lampard.

He could achieve the same result when he shocked Manchester United with a 1-0 win thanks to Anthony Gordon’s goal last month.

It will be the first time Lampard has faced his former club since he was sacked from Stamford Bridge.

“I see a group here at Everton who are really good guys trying to stay in the league,” the coach said.

President Lampard looks to his first team, West Ham, and his uncle Harry Redknapp for inspiration as Everton fight for survival and try to become a proper force in the Premier League.
