Democratic opposition presidential candidate Maria Corina Machado said on Monday that Venezuelans have shown that they will not give up their desire for political change, and that they will not accept anyone else deciding their freedom.

“We Venezuelans will not accept anything less than a life in complete freedom. “We will not lower our heads and will not accept that others negotiate our freedom or our well-being,” he expressed during the 2024 Presidential Forum: Unity and Vote, which brought together the leaders of Primero Justicia. “This civil power, which was demonstrated on October 22, has a momentum that has shaken many consciences, and from here we must grow.”
