Querétaro (Mexico) Feb 26th (EFE). – Brazilian Francisco da Costa, the Mexican soccer striker, Queretaro, confirmed on Friday that his dream is to debut as a professional in Brazil, but in his country there is no place for many players and that is why they immigrated to Mexico.

“You left me with the thorn in the debut in Brazil; the plan to come to Mexico came up and the path here became easier for me. I was in the third class and I was climbing; on the other hand, in Brazil I met many distinguished players who did not arrive”, this is what Revealed by EFE.

Da Costa has been a player in the first division since August 22, 2020, when he made his debut with Gallus de Queretaro, after attempts since he was 19 with Paranens, who captured him, but did not give him the opportunity.

“Brazilian football is well organized, and unfortunately we happen to have many players and there are good players who do not reach the first division. I like the Brazilian League, and I think that with the Mexican they are the best players in the American continent,” he said.

Francisco da Costa, nicknamed “Chico”, is 25 years old and admitted that he took a trip to Mexico as a risk, but was forced after his last Brazilian team, Sao Jose, had problems with coach Jefferson “China” with Albino.

“I did not agree with him. I had a bond for two years with the team, but I wanted to leave because I did not play. The choice to come to Mexico came out of nowhere and I must admit that I came to this desperate country.”

With Gallus, da Costa played six matches, four of them starting, with a goal converted in 380 minutes, giving his side a 1–0 victory over Atlas on January 27.

“It never crossed my mind to beat myself, I knew everything required a process. I was with Atlante when the president of Gallus spoke to me to give me the news that he would play in First Division. Even today I don’t take a measurement because the stadiums are empty, but I fulfilled my dream.” EFE
