The Cavaliers have waived veteran swingman Dahntay Jones to finalize their opening night roster.
It seemed as if both Jones and swingman DeAndre Liggins were on the bubble prior to the announcement. Liggins signed a training camp contract that guaranteed him $25,000.
Jones, 35, appeared in two preseason games for the Cavs, averaging 4.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in 20.4 minutes. He played 15 postseason games for the Cavs during their championship run last season.
The Cavs open the season Tuesday vs. New York. Tipoff at Quicken Loans Arena is set for 7:30 p.m.
