Free agent guard Joe Johnson worked out for the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
Johnson, 38, also recently took part in a group workout staged by the Philadelphia 76ers.
He has created some buzz lately by playing well in the Big3 league, comprised mostly of recently retired NBA players.
The 6-foot-7 wing last appeared in the NBA in 2017-18 season, when he played in 23 games with the Houston Rockets, averaging 6.0 points and shooting 38 percent on 3-pointers.
He has also played for the Utah Jazz, Miami Heat, Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Hawks, Phoenix Suns and Boston Celtics.
The Pistons currently feature the likes of Tony Snell, Luke Kennard, rookie Bruce Brown, Langston Galloway and even usual point guard Derrick Rose at the wing positions.
