Free agent point guard Bayless headed to China

Former 76ers point guard Jerryd Bayless is reportedly on his way overseas.

Free agent point guard Jerryd Bayless has agreed to a contract with the Sichuan Blue Whales of the Chinese Basketball Association, according to Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.

Bayless is 6-foot-3 and turns 31 next week. He appeared in 34 games with the Minnesota Timberwolves last season, averaging 6.1 points and 3.4 assists.

He has also spent time with the Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, Memphis Grizzlies and Portland Trail Blazers.

Bayless is one of a multitude of NBA free agents who have decided to sign with China this summer — joining notables such as Lance StephensonIan ClarkJerian Grant, Ekpe Udoh and Donatas Motiejunas.
