The future of the digital world order: Algorithmic governance and artificial intelligence
Today’s society faces multiple challenges, especially in the technological and digital fields. After its first edition dedicated to global technology policies, this year’s Forum for Future Leaders focuses on the future of the digital world order: Algorithmic Governance and Artificial Intelligence: specifically, on the fact that algorithms are present in decision-making about public policy and how. can be adapted; and in the conflict dynamics in managing algorithms and AI by global powers – the European Union, the United States and China – which also have different views on the uses of AI.
The second edition of the Future Leaders Forum, which will take place on Thursday, November 11 from 12 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. in an online format, will analyze the following questions: If digitization leads us to delegate certain decisions to AI, can we? self-confidence? Can AI be controlled to correct biases generated by algorithms? How do you ensure its neutrality? Can global agreements be reached for the ethical development of artificial intelligence? What role do great powers play in the global governance of AI?
The event, which will be broadcast live on CIDOB’s YouTube channel, will feature Cristina San Jose, Director of Data at Santander Group.
