With the aim of bringing science, technology and innovation together, as well as highlighting the possible solutions they offer to the global challenges facing society, Luis Alberto Parreira High School held a celebration of the World Science Day for Peace and Development. Students of this institution have conducted hands-on experiments in programming, robotics, solar energy and an appreciation of the tangible and intangible heritage of Punta Arenas

“Following the premise that science is everything, we bring science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) together in the same space, so that through scientific practice they discover how the principles of science intervene in science,” explained this high school teacher and organizer Javier Garay.

STEM Day was “born in my school” from my experience as a teacher in different schools in Punta Arenas.
