Hollywood star Margot Robbie is set to appear in the last episode of the historical series.
The 32-year-old, who played Donna Friedman from 2008 to 2011, filmed the Zoom appearance sometime after the show ended filming on June 10.
Fellow Aussies Delta Goodrem, Jesse Spencer, Holly Valance, Carla Bonner, Natalie Imbruglia and Kym Valentine, who all started on the show, will return for the finale.

One source said: “Everyone working on the series was determined that Neighbors would end up really high, and when they reached out to Margot, she said ‘yes’ right away. the sun.
There was no way she wouldn’t be part of the big historical finale as she always spoke fondly of her time in the soap and how it helped launch her film career.
“Unfortunately, she couldn’t make it to Australia to shoot but she recorded a special clip that will be shown at the big end.”
Fellow Aussies Delta Goodrem (left), Jesse Spencer, Holly Valance (right), Natalie Imbruglia and Kym Valentine, who also all started on the show, will eventually return to the show.
Instead, Margot sent 37 bottles of champagne to the set – one for each year it was shown on television.
The series’ executive producer Jason Herbison announced that Robbie had sent a gift of expensive bubbles.
The cast raised a toast after filming ended on the last day of production.
It comes after Robbie gifted the cast and crew of long-running soaps heaps of expensive champagne as they wrapped up production on the show after 37 years.
Alan Fletcher, April Rose Bingley, and Emerald Chan were among the actors who thanked Robbie on Instagram for the thoughtful gift.
Robbie is best known on the Australian television series for playing aspiring fashion designer Donna Friedman, before replacing Melbourne with Hollywood.
She has previously praised the show and said it was a “fantastic practice” for her Hollywood career and admitted that she could never learn the lines as quickly as she used to during her series days.

But she can’t believe how quickly she got used to reading her scripts during her time on the drama.
“I always said after leaving the soap it’s all going to be easy then,” she said.
It was a great training ground. I would sit with 60 pages on my lap in the morning and fly through them and read them at once. I understood you. I don’t think I can do that now.

The Birds of Prey star is also grateful to be working on one of the soaps because that time has made her more aware of the other sections when she’s in a movie or TV.
She said, “I think the most important thing about working on a soap and working with a multi-camera scenario is being aware of every other department, working inside a bigger machine.”
The final will be broadcast in both Australia and the UK on Friday.
