Free agent point guard Emmanuel Mudiay has agreed to a one-year contract with the Utah Jazz, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Mudiay averaged 14.8 points and 3.9 assists in 59 games with the New York Knicks this past season. He played 22 games with the Knicks in 2017-18.
The former No. 7 overall pick spent his first three seasons before that with the Denver Nuggets. Mudiay is still only 23-years old and is likely to serve as the primary backup to Donovan Mitchell and newcomer Mike Conley Jr.
The Jazz have had quite the run in free agency, picking up power forward Ed Davis, small forwards Bojan Bogdanovich and Jeff Green and Mudiay.
