The defending champion Toronto Raptors are signing free agent guard Isaiah Taylor to a partially guaranteed contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Taylor, 25, is 6-foot-3 and did not play in the NBA last season. He did appear in 67 games with the Atlanta Hawks in 2017-18, averaging 6.6 points and 3.1 assists.
He played three games with the Houston Rockets as a rookie and was waived by the Cleveland Cavaliers before the start of last season.
The Raptors’ offseason roster will stand at the maximum of 20 once Taylor is officially signed. Only 12 of those players are under fully guaranteed contracts.
Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet and Cameron Payne are the Raptors’ other point guards.
