Walker’s injury appeared to have occurred when he scored on a jumper to give the Spurs a 102-70 lead with 6:49 to play. Accompanied by a trainer, he walked to the locker room under his own power but with a limp.
Walker contributed six points on 3-of-3 shooting in five minutes in the 117-93 victory.
San Antonio selected Walker out of Miami with the 18th overall pick in the draft in June.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported the timetable for Walker to return to action is six to eight weeks.
