HLA Alicante Fundación Lucentum, the team that plays in LEB Oro, announced on Monday that the Basketball Association (FEB) has agreed to postpone upcoming matches against Covirán Granada and Lima Coruna After the Alicante entity was discovered, the outbreak of Covid in its workforce.

The match against the Andalusian team was scheduled for next Friday, while the match that would face HLA Alicante with the Galician team was scheduled to take place on the 22nd.

The two new positive cases in the team’s final hours were added to the one discovered last week by base Pedro Lombart, who is no longer traveling to Valladolid for this reason.

HLA Alicante reported that it had carried out all the necessary tests, in accordance with established protocols, on members of the technical staff and all its players, without discovering, for the time being, more cases.

The club announces that it will continue to carry out all necessary examinations throughout the week to rule out the appearance of more cases in the dressing room.

Meanwhile, the club’s medical staff have decided to suspend training and the team will be restricted for the next few days in order to control the outbreak.

HLA Alicante finally thanked the Football Association for “the swiftness in taking this decision, which seeks to protect the health of our players and the rest of the clubs in the competition”.
