Theater that opens a space in the center of San Salvador

Nave Cine Metro is now a strategically located cultural space in downtown San Salvador. In the 1980s, Delgado Avenue was used as a movie theater in the heart of the city, but over the years it turned into a cinema for certain audiences and adults, until it closed its doors in 2018.

In 2020, theater societies and groups have come together to revitalize the venue and transform it into a space dedicated to plays, presentations, exhibitions and workshops. However, the project had to be stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Activation activities resumed until October of last year. The Azzurro Cultural Association, La Cachada Theater and the efforts of other groups participate in this initiative so that audiences passing through the historic center of San Salvador can know and enjoy their theatrical works.

The cat is closed Talk to Egly Larreynaga, one of the main promoters of the revitalization of the place, who is also the founder of the Azoro Cultural Association and director of La Cachada Theater.
