A team of “analog astronauts”, a woman and five men, live in solitude for three weeks, conducting future human experiments on the Red Planet.
This Monday the Austrian Space Agency (OeWF) launched the isolation phase of the 13th analog mission to Mars, which was carried out jointly by the Israeli space agency. The longest work of its kind, the MARS-500, was carried out in Moscow (Russia) between 2007 and 2011 with the participation of Russian, European and Chinese team members as an experiment in 520 days of psychological isolation.
