Morelia, Michigan, May 9, 2022. – Science Tianguis returns to Ciudad Universitaria, after two years of absence due to the health emergency due to the coronavirus (Covid 19) pandemic, said Horacio Cano Camacho, Head of the Department of Science Communications, of the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo. (UMSNH).

The 30th edition of Tianguies de la Ciencia will take place on Saturday 14 May between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm, with 300 workshops and over a thousand activities.

Cano Camacho explained that holding the workshops in open spaces, such as the corridors and corridors of the Ciudad Universitaria, would have the privilege to reduce health risks.

Among the activities to be carried out, a ventilator presentation by a sports physicist and engineers from the university, and an exhibition on prolonged or persistent Covid 19 and variable coagulation times, by the UMSNH University School of Medicine, are mentioned.

Likewise, workshops will be offered on whitefish and axolotls, species in danger of extinction.

Horatio Cano noted, “It means a lot that one of the most coherent events is coming back, because it means resuming the daily activities of the university and starting a scientific publishing event, because if we’re here, it’s largely due to science and technology.”

Although it was determined that the uncertainty did not completely disappear, and for this reason the measures to prevent infection by Covid 19 were maintained, the downward trend in epidemiological indicators allows for scientific re-presentation in publication and promotion.
