In the absence of the new Roadster, which promises to be the fastest car in the world when Tesla launches it, a man decided to test the Model S to see how fast it could be.

Matt Mecha of Warped Perception wanted to know how fast Tesla’s electric car could be after a few steps of repair and without a second thought, with three jet engines installed in the rear of the car. Model S P85, which led to the creation of the world’s first modification of the Tesla car.

The man built nearly all of the necessary parts – which included more than 200 pieces – on his own, and the process took about 42 days, mainly because some materials were missing.

In the first test, Matt reached a speed of 70 kilometers per hour, after which he started the jet engines and was able to accelerate to 60 mph in neutral, with only two engines running. By combining the performance of homemade and electric motors, it was possible to improve the car’s acceleration to 100 kilometers per hour in one second compared to the original model, which required 4.2 seconds to do so.

In the first part of the video, the author of the experiment explains the construction process and how he achieved it. The test of the seized vehicle begins after the 16th minute.
