Young people participate in basketball workshops funded by Injuv

The Puerto Aisen Basketball Association, with the support of the National Youth Institute (Injuv), is implementing its “Back to Youth Basketball Workshops” project, and the initiative was funded by the Shark 2021 Competitive Fund.

The workshops focus on young people from Puerto Aysén and their goal is to enhance and contribute to the quality of life through sport and healthy living. It is important to note that during the meetings, the capabilities and measures required for this type of activity are fulfilled by the health authority.

“Promoting youth participation is one of the main goals of Injuv through the support of competitive funds. These sports initiatives are undoubtedly of great benefit to promoting healthy living and sports among our youth. We congratulate all the organizations that awarded our competitive funds, no doubt,” said Regional Director, Silvia Leiva Henriquez. Its projects help many young people in the region to make better use of their free time and promote a healthy life.”

Meanwhile, the Head of the Organized Sports Group, Jorge Farias, highlighted the participation of the young participants and stated that “it is very positive that there are spaces for participation like this in Puerto Aisen, and the interest in the physical health of young people is in our goal as participation and with this kind of example this goal is achieved, We hope to continue developing projects of this kind for the youth of our region because we are very pleased with the results obtained.”

Matias Bustos, a young athlete, noted, “I think it is great, it is time to resume basketball in the courts, after this time in an epidemic it was difficult to train, so you have to come back little by little, and in the gym what is better than basketball, It’s good to know that these instances of sharing exist.”

For her part, Nyathe Poblet thanked the workshops and noted that “these encounters are very useful for us, because they reinforce things that we practically did not know about basketball, they are entertaining and allow us to motivate ourselves better using sports, I hope that Injuv will continue to implement these initiatives because they are useful for the youth of the region.
