  1. I love your steady, reasoned comments on the Cavs. Keep it up.
I’ve been imaginatively playing with the current Cavs roster to come up with the best lineup. The one starting lineup that keeps coming back to me, again-and-again, is Irving at the ONE, Shumpert at the TWO, Smith at the THREE, Love at the FOUR, and LeBron at the FIVE. This gives Cleveland a formidable “small-ball” lineup, while increasing the second unit’s skill set to off-the-charts. 2nd unit 1-5: Delly; Williams; Jefferson; Varejao; Thompson. With this depth chart, the 3rd team finally looks usable: Cunningham; Harris; Jones; Kaun; Mozgov. Although LeBron at center gives the Cavs innumerable advantages, I’m not sure that LeBron would ever want to play center on a regular basis. BUT!!! LeBron can out-jump any center in the NBA; Lebron can out-dribble any center in the NBA; LeBron can defend the post better than any NBA center; LeBron can out-shoot any center in the NBA; LeBron is physically stronger than any center in the NBA; LeBron weighs as much as half the centers in the NBA. I would really like to hear your comments about LeBron at center, especially since this lineup would take full advantage of our excellent guards.

  2. You are the savior of my life.

  3. Question about free agency. Golden state currently does not have the cap room to sign Kevin Durant. So if he chose to go there, they’d have to make trades. Technically couldn’t other teams refuse to eat the contracts of Iggy, Bogut, Livingston and block the signing?
