The 55-year-old Corbin spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach with the Phoenix Suns. He will be joining Mike Batiste, Pat Delany, Steve Hetzel and Bruce Kreutzer, all of whom worked for Clifford while he was head coach of the Charlotte Hornets before being fired at the end of last season, as an assistant with the Magic.
Corbin played 16 seasons in the NBA for nine different teams, averaging 9.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game for his career.
He served as head coach of the Utah Jazz for three seasons (2011-2014) and was interim coach for the Sacramento Kings for 28 games in the 2014-15 season.
