The Milwaukee Bucks have officially closed a draft-night deal, acquiring second-round pick Sterling Brown from the Philadelphia 76ers for cash considerations, the team announced Thursday.
Brown is 6-foot-6 guard out of SMU and the younger brother of former NBA guard Shannon Brown. Sterling Brown was selected with the No. 48 overall selection.
Per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
Brown has multiple ties to Milwaukee. His former SMU teammate, Harry Froling, transferred to Marquette this past season. Back in high school at Proviso East in Maywood, Ill., his sophomore and junior seasons ended against Jabari Parker and Simeon Career Academy in the state playoffs.
The Bucks recently met with free agent point guard Derrick Rose and are attempting to trade center Greg Monroe, according to reports.
