Williams, Clippers continue hot streak

Clippers guard Lou Williams may be the NBA's biggest surprise this season.

The Los Angeles Clippers used a 15-0 run that spanned the third and fourth quarters to knock off the Memphis Grizzlies 113-105 on Tuesday.

The Clippers have suddenly won six of their past seven.

Reigning Western Conference Player of the Week Lou Williams led the Clippers with 33 points. That included 15-of-15 shooting on free throws.

Williams has now recorded eight 30-point games off the bench in his first season with the Clippers. As ESPN noted, “The rest of the NBA combined has eight 30-point games off the bench and only Utah’s Rodney Hood (with two) has multiple such games.”

Blake Griffin added 21 points and C.J. Williams scored 18 for the Clippers (17-19).

Tyreke Evans paced the Grizzlies (12-26) with 18 points.
