The Los Angeles Clippers have officially signed free agent small forward LaDontae Henton, according to Hoops Rumors.
Henton, 25, went undrafted by the NBA when he came out of Providence in 2015, then spent a year playing for Spanish club Seville.
He was selected with the No. 10 overall pick by the Santa Cruz Warriors in the 2016 G League Draft.
“Because Henton played for Santa Cruz last year, the Warriors’ G League affiliate will still hold his returning rights heading into the 2017/18 season,” wrote Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors.
“The Clippers’ new G League team, the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario, will have to trade for those rights in order to make him an affiliate player this fall. Convert Henton’s Exhibit 10 contract to a two-way deal would be another way L.A. could hang onto him.”
