The Chicago Bulls will guarantee the contract of guard David Nwaba for the remainder of the season, according to a report from ESPN.
Sunday is the deadline for teams to pick up the contracts of non-guaranteed players for the season or waive them.
Nwaba is averaging 7.6 points and 4.7 rebounds in 28 games with the Bulls. He has played a total of 48 games in his two-year NBA career, having spent last season with the Los Angeles Lakers.
“He’s been a revelation for the Bulls and undoubtedly will be one of the intriguing restricted free agents on market this summer,” ESPN wrote.
Nwaba, 24, is 6-foot-6 and went undrafted out of Cal Poly in 2016.
