Add the Detroit Pistons to the list of teams expressing interest in available Phoenix Suns guard Eric Bledsoe, according to Marc Stein of the New York Times.
Bledsoe has been available for more than a week after the Suns sent him home from a morning shootaround. The Suns are 4-1 without him after an 0-3 start.
According to Stein, “But any Bledsoe-to-Detroit deal would likely depend on what the Pistons would attach to Reggie Jackson to sell the Suns on doing such a swap.”
The Milwaukee Bucks have also been involved in trade talks centered on Bledsoe. The Los Angeles Clippers and Cleveland Cavaliers are two more teams who have expressed interest.
The Suns reportedly are trying to send center Tyson Chandler in any Bledsoe trade. It is believed they are seeking a young player and draft pick in return.
Bledsoe is 6-foot-1 and averaged 21.1 points and 6.3 assists in 66 games last season. It is believed his preferred destination is Cleveland, though the Suns aren’t taking that into consideration.
