Dwyane Wade has been placed on waivers by the Chicago Bulls and will clear Wednesday, according to a report from Yahoo Sports.
Wade can agree to sign with any team before then, but must clear waivers before actually doing so.
According to most sources, Wade is leaning toward joining with good friend LeBron James and the three-time defending Eastern Conference Cleveland Cavaliers.
Wade told the Chicago Tribune on Sunday he has “a list of places I will look at” when it comes to his next destination.
On Monday, James addressed the possibility of Wade joining the Cavs during the team’s media day.
“I would love to have D-Wade as a part of this team,” James said. “I’ve talked to him throughout the summer. It’s up to him.”
Wade, 35, averaged 18.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 60 games with the Bulls last season.
He is reportedly also considering the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.
