The Denver Nuggets have spoken to the Chicago Bulls about a potential trade for Jimmy Butler, according to ESPN.
According to the report, the Nuggets are offering multiple young players and draft picks, but not center, but not Nikola Jokic.
Butler has been the subject of multiple trade rumors, including those that involve the Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics, to name a few.
The Nuggets have made pitches for several All-Stars over the past seasons, including free agent guard Dwyane Wade last year. Wade granted the Nuggets a meeting before eventually signing with the Bulls.
Nuggets coach Michael Malone is known as a player’s coach and highly thought of around the league, and the organization overall is viewed as one on the rise. A player like Butler would likely keep those good vibes going, and the Nuggets have enough young talent to perhaps make the Bulls feel tempted to trade.
