The news today on the injury to young Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker is not good, as Kellan Olsen of AZSports.com says there is currently no timetable for the guard’s return to the team.
Booker left Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers after just 17 minutes, when he hurt his left hamstring sprinting back on defense with just more than two minutes remaining in the second quarter.
He right away must have known that the injury was somewhat severe, as he went right into the Suns’ locker room and didn’t return for the remainder of the game.
He’s had a tough season on the injury front, missing time earlier this season with a hamstring injury, as well as a toe injury that stopped him from playing Friday against Orlando.
Booker leads the Suns with 24.5 points per game this season, going along with 7.0 assists, and 3.7 rebounds
Phoenix will be back on the court minus Booker on Tuesday night at home against the Sacramento Kings. The Suns currently are last in the Western Conference with a mark of 4-19.
