Pacers, Evans meeting on Tuesday

Tyreke Evans signed a one-year deal with the Pacers.

Free agent point guard Tyreke Evans traveled to meet with the Indiana Pacers Tuesday and there is mutual interest on both sides to get a deal done, according to a report from ESPN.

One league source told Amico Hoops that Evans and the Pacers are discussing a one-year, $12 million deal.

Evans played with the Memphis Grizzlies this past season and was highly productive. In 52 games, Evans averaged 19.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists, shooting 45.2 percent from the field and 39.9 percent from three.

The Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets and Oklahoma City Thunder could also be contenders for Evans as well.
