Raptors could be looking at major overahaul

DeMar DeRozan (10) and and Kyle Lowry of the Raptors could be on the move this summer.

The Toronto Raptors changed their coach and the players may be next.

That’s the latest from Rogers Sportsnet insider Michael Grange, who wrote that “Toronto is open for business, and in particular looking to shake up the top end of its top-heavy roster.”

How open for business?

According to Grange’s report, shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, point guard Kyle Lowry, power forward Serge Ibaka and center Jonas Valanciunas are all available. So basically, the Raptors are willing to trade the top four players on the roster.

This after replacing coach Dwane Casey with assistant Nick Nurse — this despite finishing with the best record in the Eastern Conference and the best record (59-23) in franchise history.

Still, it may be time to buckle up for the Raptors’ offseason.

“Another source told me he believed one of the Raptors’ ‘medium three’ – Lowry, DeRozan and Ibaka – won’t be back next season,” Grange wrote.
