To the surprise of few, Kawhi Leonard will not play for the San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series against defending NBA champion Golden State on Saturday.
The team confirmed what was expected on its Twitter account Friday night:
INJURY REPORT: Kawhi Leonard (return from injury management) is out for tomorrow’s Spurs-Warriors game.
