Wright: Cavs will be in NBA Finals again

J.R. Smith and the Cavaliers will be back in the NBA Finals, says Nick Wright of FOX Sports.

Things don’t look good for the Cleveland Cavaliers, right now, having lost six of their last 10 games, including two in a row, headed into tonight’s contest in Phoenix against the Suns.

However Nick Wright, while appearing on FOX Sports’ “First Things First” show, remains steadfast in his belief Cleveland will be making a fourth consecutive trip to the NBA Finals come June.

Cleveland (38-28) will look to get back on track tonight against the anemic Suns (19-49), who have lost five straight, nine of their last 10 and are only a half-game better than the NBA’s worst team, the Memphis Grizzlies (18-49). Memphis has lost 18 consecutive games.

  1. I too have never been concerned about the Cavs making the finals, but I am this year. This team is just far away from any finals right now. It’s hard to imagine JR shooting and playing defense, Love on top of his game, the team defense coming together and the offense playing like they’ve been together. And Lue figuring out who to play. I have to think the Cavs need a legitimate shooting guard and a big. The first round is definitely in question without a doubt. I’ve always felt JR and Korver play too much. If Korver has to play in crunch time, I don’t believe the Cavs are good enough.

I agree with Ray and Sam.

  3. I’m still thinking second round exit for the Cavs. A team that has been defensively poor all season long, isn’t suddenly going to switch on defensively come the play offs.
