When it comes to playing alongside LeBron James, the virtues of doing so have actually been a subject of debate for years, believe it or not.
Despite all his gifts and individual greatness, James has widely become known as not the easiest guy to have as a teammate.
However, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski doesn’t see it that way. As in, at all.
In fact, Coach K, appearing on ESPN’s First Take, said he told for Blue Devils star Brandon Ingram, one of James’ new teammates on the Los Angeles Lakers, to embrace the opportunity to play on the same side as one of the greatest to ever lace ’em up.
“I don’t know who wouldn’t want to play with LeBron, but I love coaching him,” Krzyzewski, who has coached James on Team USA for USA Basketball and won five NCAA national championships at Duke. “I do think some guys want their own spotlights a little too much.
“I told Brandon Ingram, ‘You latch onto LeBron. Learn as much as you can. You’re gonna become a better player as a result of being with him.’”
