The Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance (MSPAS) has updated the COVID-19 dashboard through October 4; According to the tool, 569,440 cases of coronavirus have been recorded as of that date, of which 22,849 are still active. In addition, it was reported that during the past 24 hours, 2,804 new infections were detected.

Maintaining the position in the country at 19.58%

The council states that on Monday, 2,804 new cases of COVID-19 were detected as a result of 14,324 tests conducted at the national level, meaning that the positivity in the republic was 19.58%.

On the other hand, the municipalities that recorded the highest number of infections were:

Guatemala and Guatemala with 421 cases in 4,562 tests (9.22% positive);
– Copan, Alta Verapaz with 152 cases detected in 231 tests (65% positive); And
– Chinotla, Guatemala, where 124 infections were detected in 457 examinations (21.13% positive).

Other indicators that are considered in the COVID-19 dashboard are the fatality rate, mortality, and the cumulative number of the virus.

However, minors were also affected by Sars-Cov2. According to the data, the minors reported:

0-5 years: 10,732 injuries and 127 deaths.
6-10 years: 9,722 positive cases and 14 victims.
11-17 years: 3,008 injuries and 50 deaths.
