Danilo Medina confirms the return of PLD

Former President of the Republic Danilo Medina confirmed, on Wednesday, that the Dominican Liberation Party “has returned” after meeting with mayors and district directors of that political organization.

This came through a statement of the party, which also highlighted the work that they must do, in order to achieve their goals “for the party to shine and return to growth and stability in the country.”

According to the document, fifteen councilors present provided their ideas and proposals on the formation of local councils members’ councils and requested two technical support forms from the PLD leadership.

During his presentation, the former president took the proposal of a technical team as a reminder that in the 1980s the formation of a committee of this kind was successful for the party, with the aim of advising and accompanying the municipalities.

Likewise, the city urged the municipalities to create teams to manage social networks, which defend their efforts and initiatives, and also work to keep in touch with the PLD addresses in the municipalities and provinces, which will be linked with the party reorganization through a member of the political committee.

The former head of state also urged mayors and managers present to remember the “respectful treatment that the government administration of the Dominican Liberation Party provided to councilors, regardless of political factions.”

What mayors and managers said

Ramon Santos, who heads the Union of Municipal Districts, made recommendations regarding the City Hall Day, which is next Saturday, the position of mayors, mayors and managers to implement the so-called golden rule of the municipality.

Abel Martinez, Mayor of Santiago, explained that the municipal structure of the PLD is the main political force of that organization and called on his colleagues to coexist with the members of the building councils and to remain attentive to any action on the part of the ruling party.
