Puerto Ricans are awarded the prestigious Emmy Silver Circle Award – Metro Puerto Rico

The Suncoast Chapter of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences honored Las Noticias meteorologist Deborah Martorell, NotiCentro meteorologist Ada Monzón, and WIPR-PR journalist Mayra Acevedo with its prestigious Emmy Silver Circle Award.

“A very special night full of emotions,” Martorell wrote on social networks, after the recognition also given to Acevedo and Monzón by the academy’s board of directors.

“Thank you, our fans, because you are always the source of inspiration, the reason and the driving force to continue even in difficult times. “It is an honor to have the honor of serving you through the magic of television,” the TeleOnce reporter said.

Likewise, NotiCentro’s Chief Meteorologist, Ada Monzón, thanked her for the award and congratulated her colleagues for this distinction.

“We enjoyed an unforgettable night with our families and loved ones. Thank you Puerto Rico!” Monzon said.

For her part, the WIPR-TV journalist stated, “Few people know that I started my career on television as a weather reporter on Channel 13 in English. So there is no coincidence, life is a circle and thus the chapter concludes with the Silver Circle Award […]. The award is collective, not mine, but an award to all my fellow photographers, editors, producers, news directors, channel heads and mentors who helped me along the way and without whose work I could not do my job.
