Restricted free agent Bell agrees to deal with Timberwolves

Warriors big man Jordan Bell appeared in 68 regular-season games and 15 in the playoffs.

Free agent big man Jordan Bell has agreed to a one-year contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

Bell had spent his entire short career with the Golden State Warriors. Per Michael Scotto of The Athletic, Bell’s deal with the Timberwolves is for $1.6 million.

Bell struggled to find a role with the Warriors during the regular season, averaging just 3.3 points and 2.7 rebounds in 68 games.

“Bell is technically a restricted free agent, having received a qualifying offer from the Warriors last week,” Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors explained. “However, based on the reporting, it sounds like Golden State will probably rescind that QO, freeing Bell up to sign outright with Minnesota.”
