Rockets to work out Young, Felton, others at minicamp

Shooting guard Nick Young appeared in four games with the Nuggets after signing Dec. 10 last season.

The Houston Rockets will be holding a free agent minicamp in Las Vegas with a number of older veteran players attending, as relayed by Kelly Iko and Alykhan Bijani of The Athletic.

Per Iko and Bijani, veterans taking part in the camp include small forward Corey Brewer, point guard Raymond Felton, forward Terrence Jones, shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha and shooting guard Nick Young.

Forward Luc Mbah a Moute was also originally expected to be be at the camp but it turns out he will not be there, Iko reported.

After trading for Russell Westbrook, the Rockets are seeking complementary pieces to help in terms of defense and veteran know-how. Each of the players listed above has more than a decade’s worth of NBA experience.

The Rockets currently have 18 players on their camp roster. They could add another one or two from the Vegas minicamp camp should a player or players stand out.
