Valanciunas agrees to three-year pact to return to Grizzlies

Jonas Valanciunas averaged nearly 20 points in his 19 games with the Grizzlies.

Free-agent center Jonas Valanciunas has agreed to a three-year, $45 million contract to return to the Memphis Grizzlies, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

The deal is reportedly worth $45 million.

Valanciunas, 27, was acquired by the Grizzlies from the Toronto Raptors at the trade deadline in February. He declined a $17.6 million player option to enter free agency after the season.

As Wojnarowski noted, Valanciunas was particularly impressive in 19 games with the Grizzlies, averaging 19.9 points and 10.7 rebounds.

The Grizzlies are reshuffling the roster with a first-time head coach in Taylor Jenkins and promising rookie point guard in Ja Morant.
